Common questions

Why does Cruise need Always location?
Only so that an active trip continues recording when your phone is locked or you switch apps. Cruise does not record location when you are not actively driving.

Where is my trip data stored?
On your device, in the app's private database. Nothing is uploaded unless you turn on Amber sync in Settings. See the privacy policy.

Can I delete a trip?
Yes — open the trip in History and tap the delete button. Deletion is permanent.

The smoothness score feels wrong.
Phone handling (picking it up, putting it down) registers as motion. Cruise tries to filter this, but if you're seeing consistently odd scores, email us with the trip details and we'll look at it.

Live Activity isn't showing up.
Make sure Live Activities are enabled in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Allow Access When Locked → Live Activities, and that you've granted them for Cruise specifically in Settings → Cruise.
